Flying the Hedge

Merry meet and welcome to Flying the Hedge: The Path of a Hedgewitch! My name is Willow, or Autumn Willow if you wish to be overly formal. I have created this post to give you a brief introduction to why I created this blog and what you can expect as it grows.

First off, I created Flying The Hedge as an outlet for myself and to keep me on track in regard to my spirituality. I am by no means an expert. In fact, most of the time I won't even call myself a novice since I feel more like a dabbler than anything else. However, I want to change that; I'd like to become an expert in the craft and hopefully, in creating this blog, I will stick to my studying; I mean, I have an obligation not only to myself now but to my readers as well.

If you haven't already noticed, there are a couple pages under my banner: Witch's Cabinet, Grimoire, Herbarium, FAQs, and About The Witch. The Witch's Cabinet section will eventually include links to my posts on the tools and supplies a witch should have and how to stock a cabinet. The Grimoire will contain links to all my posts on rituals, spells, sabbats, lore, and even free pages for your Book of Shadows. The Herbarium, which I have already started, contains a list of herbs and their magical uses. I will be posting individual posts on each herb with their very own free Book of Shadows page to provide you with a more in-depth look at the herb. I believe the other two pages are fairly explanatory.

In summary, I plan to give you, my readers, all you need to progress forward in your studies of witchcraft, from tools and spells to history and crafts. Eventually, I would like to open my own Etsy shop and do giveaways, but I need you for that. Feel free to follow me on Facebook, Pinterest, and eventually maybe even Twitter and Instagram, or shoot me an email. I'd love to hear from you!

If you have suggestions on posts you would like to see, feel free to leave a comment or email me.
