Birthday Gifts

So, I meant to post this earlier, but I just got around to editing the pictures. My birthday was last month and my husband really outdid himself this year. I couldn't be happier nor more thankful.

I originally went to school to be a paleontologist. While I would still like to be doing that, I'm obviously not meant to at this point in my life. However, my love for dinosaurs is VERY real and VERY strong. Other than my family, they are my great love, especially in respect to evolution. They are the most amazing creatures to ever walk this earth and how they changed and adapted over time to lead to species we see today is astounding. It takes my breath away every time I think about it. That being said, it wasn't surprising that my husband went with dinosaurs this year, especially because Jurassic World was released onto DVD and Blu-Ray on my birthday!

He gave me a handmade teapot with a "TEA-rex" on it, a "TEA-rex" diffuser, and Jurassic World on DVD the day of my birthday. The last gift took a little longer to arrive, but it makes the living room.

Yes, that is Paul Revere, Georgia Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Abraham Lincoln riding dinosaurs. Because, you know, why not?! I do love historical figures. He went with tea and book pages because of our new library/living room. I love books and I love tea, almost as much as I love dinosaurs. Birds and foxes are next in line, which can be found all over the house as well, especially in our kitchen.

I am so thankful for my husband and even more thankful he has continued to put up with me for over 5 years. Thank you baby, for a great birthday!

  1. Hello Willow! I just wanted you to know I truly enjoy reading your blog. So much so I am attempting to start one myself on the witchcraft persuasion. It's really rough looking at the moment though, and your template is gorgeous! If you have any suggestions let me know. I know Marietta from Witchywords did her own, and I've been looking at ones to purchase on Etsy since I do not have the time or patience with coding. Ha! But yours is gorgeous and I want mine to reflect a pretty layout also. No one wants to read something ( even though mine is for sharing and connecting only-) that's boring and poorly laid out. I have several blogs and I wanted to create one for only my spiritual path. I'll be signing this from my original blogger from years ago.
    Blessed be!

    1. Well first off thank you for reading! I'm glad you enjoy my content and my layout. I did the layout and everything myself. The only thing I did not do is the background. I liked one blogger supplied too much to justify changing it. I strongly suggest you Google some free templates and go from there. It is actually really simple to modify free layouts, even with no coding experience. There are also several free graphics creaters out there to make banners, badges, and more. It would save you the money, but obviously not the time of making the graphics and doing a little simple coding. I'd be more than happy to help you turn your blog into something beautiful if I am able to. Just let me know!
      Kind regards,
      Willow
